Requirements
- 6-10 years of progressive project management experience
- Minimum of 3 years specifically in fossil fuel power generation, preferably natural gas plants
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related technical field
- PMP certification is a strong plus
- Deep understanding of power generation project lifecycles
- Knowledge of engineering principles
- Understanding of procurement and construction (EPC) processes
- Proficiency with project management software (MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar)
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Proven ability to lead without direct authority
- Ability to influence stakeholders
- Ability to manage diverse, cross-functional teams
- Exceptional verbal communication skills
- Exceptional written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple natural gas power generation projects
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget
- Serve as the primary point of contact and project leader
- Coordinate efforts across cross-functional teams including Development, Environmental, Engineering, Supply Chain, Legal, and Operations
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers
- Provide regular, detailed updates to senior leadership within the Engineering and Construction Department
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among internal stakeholders and external partners
- Identify project risks and issues early, developing and implementing effective mitigation strategies
- Ensure all project activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
- Contribute expertise and strategic input to support the company's growth objectives in the fossil generation business
