Requirements
- 10+ years in agency or in-house B2B marketing.
- 5+ years in a senior strategy role spanning both brand/communications and performance/demand.
- Fluent in narrative architecture and CAC/LTV math.
- Demonstrated technical fluency across at least four of: Paid Search, Paid Social, SEO, Content, LLM/AI search, Creative, Programmatic, Lifecycle, RevOps.
- Track record of setting strategy for B2B clients across multiple verticals (services, industrial/manufacturing, SaaS, and B2B commerce).
- Comfort operating as a high-leverage individual contributor without a team.
- Strong opinion about the difference between a marketing strategy and a media plan.
- Ability to think in terms of the client's P&L, not just the marketing P&L.
- Experience with using AI in B2B strategy for real work.
Responsibilities
- Own the first-30-days strategic thesis for every new engagement.
- Diagnose the business, define the strategy, sequence the work, and align the channel teams on a coherent integrated plan for each new client.
- Drive pilot-to-retainer conversion across Performance, Communications, and Commerce divisions.
- Set direction for new engagements, with strategists and account teams executing.
- Own the pilot-to-retainer conversion rate, which is the primary business metric.
- Ensure cross-capability strategic coherence, deciding where Paid, SEO, Content, Creative, Programmatic, RevOps, and Comms fit for a given client.
- Integrate various marketing channels and ensure they sequence and reinforce each other.
- Work directly with subject matter experts across every capability to pressure-test the strategic thesis.
