Requirements

  • 10+ years in agency or in-house B2B marketing
  • At least 5 years in a senior strategy role spanning brand/communications and performance/demand
  • Fluent in narrative architecture and CAC/LTV math
  • Demonstrated technical fluency across at least four of: Paid Search, Paid Social, SEO, Content, LLM/AI search, Creative, Programmatic, Lifecycle, RevOps
  • Track record of setting strategy for B2B clients across multiple verticals (services, industrial/manufacturing, SaaS, B2B commerce)
  • Comfort operating as a high-leverage individual contributor without a team
  • Strong opinion about the difference between a marketing strategy and a media plan
  • Think in terms of the client's P&L, not the client's marketing P&L
  • Energized by subject matter experts who know more about their specific channel
  • Experience using AI for real work in B2B strategy

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategic thesis for every new client engagement
  • Drive pilot-to-retainer conversion across Performance, Communications, and Commerce divisions
  • Diagnose the business, define the strategy, sequence the work, and align channel teams for new clients
  • Achieve the primary business metric of pilot-to-retainer conversion rate
  • Ensure cross-capability strategic coherence by integrating various service lines
  • Work directly with subject matter experts to pressure-test strategic theses
  • Set the direction and pressure-test the work of channel teams and account strategists
