Job Details

Requirements

  • Care deeply about making Monzo a better place to work and building things that make a meaningful difference for Monzonauts.
  • Collaborative and thoughtful in work, good at bringing people together across teams, disciplines and time zones.
  • Good at getting to the heart of a problem, especially when things feel messy or unclear.
  • Comfortable switching between longer-term thinking and the practical work needed to keep things moving.
  • Use data to drive decisions, while staying close to the human experience behind it.
  • Strong judgement and can make thoughtful calls, even when there is no perfect answer.
  • Comfortable challenging the status quo and asking whether there’s a better way to do things.
  • Curious and passionate about learning, and enjoy sharing ideas and helping others learn too.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Performance lifecycle: Deep-dive into every touchpoint of the performance journey, from ambitious goal-setting and real-time feedback to meaningful reviews and personal development.
  • Bridge the Gaps: Work cross-functionally with People Ops, Partners, Reward, and Tech to build and lead the execution of seamless, end-to-end processes that actually work for humans.
  • Be Data-Driven: Use research and analytics to spot friction, measure what matters, and ruthlessly prioritise the work that has the biggest impact.
  • Test & Learn: Pilot new ideas and iterate constantly, always keeping the Monzonaut experience front and center.
  • Discovery and design: Use research, data and feedback to understand where the performance experience is working well and where it is falling short.
  • Building the toolkit: Partner closely with People Tech to design tools and experiences that make performance simpler, more useful and easier to navigate.
  • Shipping and iterating: Test ideas, run pilots and learn quickly from what works, validating ideas before scaling them more widely.
  • Running the show: Manage and coordinate central performance projects, collaborating with a wide variety of SMEs and workstream leads.
  • Landing the change: Help ensure new tools and approaches are adopted well and have the intended impact through effective communication and support.
  • Measuring success: Define how success is measured and track whether changes are improving the experience over time.
  • Keeping it fair: Help ensure the performance experience is thoughtful, consistent and fair, spotting risks like bias, unnecessary complexity or unintended consequences early.
