Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of experience in a HRBP or Compliance role
- 1+ year of experience overseeing employee sponsorship for Visa and Green Card processes
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to maintain a professional demeanor
- High degree of integrity and demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing sensitive data
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Resourceful self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR compliance policies, processes, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain the company handbook, state supplements, and standalone policies while serving as a subject matter expert on compliance-related matters.
- Monitor and interpret state, local, and federal employment laws and advise HR and leadership on compliance requirements and legislative updates impacting Compensation, Payroll, Benefits, and HR practices.
- Lead employee relations matters for office and remote employees and support escalated cases within fulfillment center HR.
- Research, recommend, and support implementation of compliance-related training for employees and leaders.
- Conduct audits to ensure required employment disclosures and notices are delivered across the employee lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with leave, disability, and employment regulations, including FMLA, ADA, PFL, FLI, STD, LTD, EEO, and applicable labor laws.
- Manage Visa and immigration processes, advising candidates and employees while ensuring policy and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee Employer of Record (EOR) vendor relationships and support international employees throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Manage relationships with external counsel and compliance-related vendors.
