Requirements

6+ years of legal experience, with a mix of top-tier law firm and in-house fintech or financial services experience
Significant experience structuring and negotiating credit facilities and/or structured finance transactions
Direct experience in equipment financing is a bonus
Familiarity with fintech regulation, including lending, securities, and payments
Clear, concise communication style with strong business judgment
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment
JD from a top law school and license to practice in the United States
Worked at a fintech startup or high-growth company (bonus)
Experience managing cross-border legal matters (bonus)
Passionate about building from 0 to 1 and scaling systems for long-term growth (bonus)

Responsibilities

Lead all legal matters across Capchase’s global operations, including corporate, regulatory, commercial, and transactional work
Partner with our Capital Markets and Finance teams to structure, negotiate, and execute debt facilities and structured finance transactions
Own the legal aspects of financial product development, including documentation, compliance, and risk assessment
Support the go-to-market team with customer agreements and financing documents
Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team on legal, regulatory, and strategic matters
Develop and implement internal processes for managing contracts, compliance, and legal risk
Manage relationships with external counsel across geographies and specialties
Monitor and respond to developments in financial regulation, licensing, and data privacy
Build and lead a high-performing legal team over time
