Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or related scientific field
  • 1–3 years of experience in laboratory, research, biotech, biopharma, or academic environments
  • Exposure to or interest in SaaS, scientific software, or laboratory informatics solutions
  • Strong understanding of scientific research workflows and data management challenges in lab environments
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical scientists and senior business stakeholders
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and comfortable working in a high-volume outbound prospecting environment
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce is a plus
  • Curiosity-driven mindset with a strong desire to learn and grow in a commercial role

Responsibilities

  • Generate and qualify new sales opportunities through outbound outreach, including email campaigns, calls, LinkedIn engagement, and event follow-ups
  • Research and identify key decision-makers across biotech, biopharma, CROs, academic labs, and materials science organizations
  • Qualify inbound leads from marketing programs, webinars, and digital campaigns, ensuring smooth handoff to sales teams
  • Engage in credible scientific conversations with researchers, leveraging domain knowledge to understand lab workflows and data challenges
  • Articulate the value of scientific software solutions related to ELN, LIMS, bioinformatics, and data visualization platforms
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, track interactions, and support pipeline reporting using Salesforce or similar tools
  • Collaborate with Account Executives and Marketing to refine messaging, improve campaign effectiveness, and share market insights
  • Participate in ongoing learning of scientific trends, competitive positioning, and product portfolio capabilities
