Requirements

  • Experience working in a People/HR role in a fast-paced environment (e.g., startup, scale-up, or high-growth team)
  • Strong judgement and ability to handle people situations with maturity and pragmatism
  • Commercial awareness you understand how teams deliver value and what good performance looks like
  • Curiosity and problem-solving mindset you enjoy figuring out root causes, not just symptoms
  • Confidence working with and challenging managers constructively
  • High ownership and bias for action, with comfort operating in ambiguity
  • Clear communicator who can simplify problems and drive alignment

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Engine leaders to understand how teams are performing and where friction exists
  • Spot early signals across delivery, quality, team health, and capability
  • Support root cause diagnosis (e.g., org design, role clarity, leadership, resourcing, ways of working)
  • Help design and deliver practical solutions that improve performance
  • Coach managers on performance expectations, feedback, and team effectiveness
  • Work with Talent to identify hiring gaps and improve hiring quality
  • Handle people situations (including ER) with sound judgement, pace, and support where needed
  • Contribute to projects that improve performance across tem (e.g., onboarding, org design, performance systems)
  • Keep work visible and outcomes measurable through clear communication and tracking
