Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA or CPA track strongly preferred
- 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience
- Combination of public accounting and private industry is a plus
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, particularly revenue accounting (ASC 606), contract cost accounting (ASC 340)
- Experience working in a high-growth or fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting business needs
- Strong attention to detail
- Analytical skills
- Comfort working in systems such as NetSuite, or similar ERP platforms
- Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
- Experience with close management tools, including optimization efforts
- Open to using AI to amplify their skills and strengthen their work - demonstrating curiosity, a willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact.
Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for various accounting areas including but not limited to: Commission accruals and deferrals - prepare the accrual, capitalization and amortization of commissions and other contract costs.
- Revenue contract review - ensure the accurate review and documentation of non-standard contract language.
- Revenue reconciliations - ensure revenue impacts on contract amendments and modifications are accurate and ready to be posted for the month.
- Take on new accounting areas as the business scales
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all entries are appropriately supported and in line with GAAP.
- Prepare documentation and support for internal and external audits.
- Assist with implementing and optimizing accounting systems and tools to drive efficiency.
- Develop and maintain ad-hoc revenue reporting.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, and People teams to support business initiatives and ensure accounting impacts are considered.
