Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in SEO or organic growth
  • 2+ years managing people
  • Demonstrated experience leading international and multilingual SEO, including hreflang, localization strategy, and regional prioritization.
  • Strong understanding of B2C and B2B search behavior, ideally within SaaS or technology products.
  • Hands-on experience partnering with Web, Content, PMM, and Engineering teams to execute at scale.
  • Deep curiosity and working knowledge of GEO, AEO, and AI-driven search trends, with the ability to turn ambiguity into action.
  • Exceptional program and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to own large-scale initiatives end-to-end.
  • Experience in security, identity, developer tools, or technical products (bonus).
  • Prior ownership of SEO strategy supporting both PLG and SLG funnels (bonus).
  • Experience influencing roadmap decisions without direct authority (bonus).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an end-to-end global SEO, GEO, and AEO strategy aligned with 1Password’s growth goals and Identity Security positioning.
  • Lead international search strategy across multiple languages and countries, with a strong initial focus on North America and EMEA.
  • Ensure 1Password is discoverable across the full spectrum of user intent for both individuals and businesses.
  • Define how 1Password optimizes for generative search experiences, AI summaries, and answer engines.
  • Partner with content, web, and PMM teams to evolve information architecture, structured data, and content formats.
  • Own technical SEO fundamentals across a large, global site to optimize crawlability, indexation, site architecture, performance, and hreflang strategy.
  • Partner closely with Web and Engineering to ensure SEO considerations are built into platform decisions, CMS capabilities, and new launches.
  • Define success metrics across SEO, GEO, and AEO and continually optimize to meet and exceed business objectives.
  • Build clear reporting and insights that help stakeholders understand what’s working and where to invest next.
  • Lead and develop a team of SEO/GEO marketers, providing clear direction, coaching, and feedback.
