Requirements
- 3+ years in a finance, accounting, or financial operations role
- Hands-on QuickBooks experience
- Advanced Google Sheets (building models and dashboards)
- Builder mindset

- Experience in an agency or professional services environment (strong asset)
- Experience building or maintaining executive-level dashboards or financial reporting tools (strong asset)
- Familiarity with commission structures and variable compensation calculations (strong asset)
- Exposure to multi-entity accounting or inter-company reconciliation (strong asset)
- Experience with data visualization tools or lightweight BI (strong asset)
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the executive financial dashboard — revenue, margin, headcount cost, and key ratios, updated on a defined cadence
- Build and maintain the KPI dashboard and commissions reports across the business, calculating payouts accurately from source data each period, flagging anomalies before anyone has to ask
- Build and maintain scenario forecast models (Base, Target, Stretch) as the business grows and assumptions change
- Monitor and maintain the billable rate card — flagging when rates drift from approved levels and keeping it current as services evolve
- Serve as the go-to data resource for the team on financial questions — consolidating financials for insurance renewals, grant applications, or investor requests without creating a bottleneck
- Support QuickBooks operations on the AP side: reviewing entries, spotting and investigating discrepancies, and keeping payables accurate across both company entities
- Build and maintain a view of planned vs. actual expenses — flagging variances and following up when actuals don’t match budget
- Run monthly labour allocation calculations and leadership variable compensation calculations
- Support the Accountant on month-end close, ensuring the books are ready on time and the numbers tie out
