Requirements
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or accountant
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Proficiency in QuickBooks
- Proficiency in Google Sheets
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Absolute accuracy in all reconciliations and reports
- Transparent, well-organized documentation at all times
- Responsiveness and discretion with sensitive information
- Proactive identification of discrepancies or risks
Responsibilities
- Record and categorize all financial transactions with accuracy and speed
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments, invoices, and collections
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and merchant accounts on a monthly basis
- Prepare and maintain ledgers, balance sheets, income statements, P&L statements, and other financial reports
- Manage payroll, reimbursements, and expense tracking
- Prepare financial data for leadership and external accountants for tax filings
- Maintain internal financial processes
- Report directly to CEO on cash flow, financial health, and other data
- Support internal team on payroll, reimbursements, and expense tracking
- Work with clients on invoicing setup, billing, and collections
- Onboard contractors by collecting banking info and uploading to internal systems
- Manage referral and partner payments with external collaborators
- Coordinate with external accountants for filings
