Requirements:
30%-40% travel required. Bachelor's degree in food science, Nutrition, Chemistry, Biology, or related field. 5+ years of experience managing Product/Food Safety, Compliance and Quality in a large-scale distribution, retail, grocery, food service, or manufacturing environment. Knowledge of Product safety regulations (local, state, FDA, USDA). Certified Professional-Food Safety, Registered Environmental Health Specialist, Sanitarian, PCQI. HACCP plan development experience.
Responsibilities:
Implement operational site programs for receipt, storage, transportation, and disposal of food and consumable products. Develop and enhance Product/Food Safety & Compliance Operations programs. Write policies and standards; create and implement training programs. Conduct risk assessments and develop roadmaps for operational processes. Design and execute compliance and product safety interventions. Leverage auditing mechanisms and analyze regulatory impacts. Enable scalable business solutions. Ensure product/food safety and compliance with regulatory and customer requirements. Develop business metrics to track compliance and process effectiveness. Identify and communicate improvement opportunities. Provide 24x7 support for food safety and inventory system issues. Lead the development, maintenance, and execution of the product safety and quality management system. Oversee internal audit programs, training, recall coordination, and system improvement.
