Requirements:
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) are essential, as this role involves daily interaction with clients, Lenders, other stakeholders in the transactions and brokers via email and phone. 3–5 years of experience in the Australian lending market is highly regarded. Sound knowledge of Australian lender policies and the ability to stay updated with ongoing policy and market changes is an advantage. Understanding of Australian credit practices and regulatory requirements is desirable. Integrity, reliability, and a strong work ethic are essential qualities. Experience with loans and credit applications. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to think creatively and “outside the box,” are required. A passion for finding effective solutions is highly valued. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams) and familiarity with email and calendar management tools such as Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Sheets. High attention to detail, accuracy, time management skills, and strong knowledge of the mortgage and finance broking industry will be critical to success in this role.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with brokers & clients to package deals, ensuring all submissions are optimally structured and aligned with lender policies and client needs by analysing all supporting documents (payslips, bank statements, IDs, Equifax reports, etc.) and highlighting key details. Request any outstanding documents from the clients. Calculate income for SE and PAYG - complete servicing to determine the client’s borrowing capacity. Enter data into the CRM and submit applications online. Prepare application forms and Discharge Authority, ensuring all required supporting documents are submitted to the bank while maintaining compliance with CRM requirements. Liaise with the admin team regarding pending pricing, valuations, or credit reports. Send submission, formal approval, and settlement emails to clients/real estate agents/solicitors using CRM templates. Update the Sales Sheet and Smart Sheets as the file progresses through each stage. Manage commission posting. Cross-check approval and settlement documents to ensure all details match the client’s requirements and the original submission. Assist with tracking applications, to ensure timely follow-ups and progress updates. File management and working cohesively with admin staff to package loan applications with little to no MIR with the lenders. Contribute to continuous improvement by enhancing internal tasks, procedures, and client communication, and maintaining a high level of product and lender policy knowledge.
