Pharmacy Liaison - TN License Required

State registered as a pharmacy technician. 2-3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician. Nationally certified as a CPhT or equivalent is strongly preferred. High School Diploma or GED required. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Exceptional phone skills. Comfortable proactively engaging patients telephonically. Comfortable reaching out to clinicians, payors, and pharmacies telephonically. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. Able to quickly learn other programs and adapt to Shields’ model/tools. Strong organizational skills. Experience in one or more of the following disease states is a plus: transplant, hepatitis C, infectious disease (including HIV), diabetes, MS, oncology.

Provide custom medication management services to patients. Handle prior authorization, financial assistance, and patient onboarding. Educate prospective patients on pharmacy services. Manage all patient medication needs and refill requests. Resolve insurance issues and conduct benefit investigations. Secure financial assistance for patients when available. Document patient information in EMR and proprietary tools. Ensure patients adhere to medication regimens. Secure prescription renewals. Communicate medication information to patients. Identify medications requiring special storage or handling. Identify necessary medication supplies. Answer, resolve, and triage inbound inquiries. Input data, perform adjudication, and prepare action plans. Apply observations to improve operations and productivity. Participate in process improvement initiatives. Maintain confidentiality of patient information. Update knowledge through educational opportunities and networking.
