Requirements:
Fluent in (Brazilian) Portuguese and English with excellent communication skills. Medical degree validated in Brazil (if not from Brazil). Full, unrestricted license to practice medicine independently in the corresponding Conselho Regional de Medicina (CRM) with no restrictions on practice. Must have an ICP-Brasil digital certificate. Ideally completed speciality training in Nutrology, Internal Medicine, Endocrinology (or appropriate equivalent). Significant experience working in general practice and digital health. Track record of leadership and management in healthcare settings, with a focus on clinical governance, quality improvement, and service excellence. Experience of product development and improvement. Collaborative team player with the capacity to build strong relationships and influence cross-functional stakeholders. Commitment to upholding ethical principles, patient-centred care, and continuous professional development.
Responsibilities:
Assist with company registration for telemedicine services with the Conselho Regional de Medicina (CRM) and act as the responsible physician. Localize and sign off on all protocols and SOPs to ensure compliance with local regulations and best practices. Liaise with product and clinical operations teams to identify necessary changes in service model, website, and processes. Create new SOPs as required for new services. Work with cross-functional teams to enter the market rapidly, safely, and efficiently. Provide horizon scanning to pre-empt regulatory changes and best practices. Assist in sourcing, engaging, and managing alternative advisors for knowledge gaps. Act as a brand ambassador, participating in PR, events, and liaison with industry networks and stakeholders. Contribute to blog articles and social media posts. Maintain awareness of regulatory issues and the healthcare ecosystem in Brazil. Conduct competitor analysis and adjust roadmaps for new product launches. Deepen integration into the Brazilian healthcare ecosystem through partnerships. Stay abreast of changing regulations in the Brazilian online pharmacy and prescribing industry. Use data to refine asynchronous services, including forms, protocols, and patient communications. Maintain a product roadmap for new products with appropriate protocols and content. Provide feedback to the core UK team on existing and new products and services. Lead the building of the prescribing team in conjunction with the Medical Director and Digital Ops Manager. Write clinical-related macros for the customer service team. Lead collaborative training sessions between CS and prescribers. Oversee clinical audits and assessments for continuous improvement. Update prescribing and digital ops teams on guidance/protocol changes and provide education. Investigate escalations, complaints, and incidents, and manage patient communication. Review patient emails and consultations to identify training requirements. Attend and contribute to monthly governance meetings, preparing analysis and insights. Provide leadership to clinical and operations teams in Brazil, offering expert advice on clinical issues. Use Brazilian experiences to feed into wider international expansion, including protocol translation and clinician recruitment. Develop templates for expansion into new markets globally based on Brazilian experiences. Review commercial success of products in the Brazilian market and adjust with cross-functional teams for profitability while maintaining clinical excellence.
