- Proven experience building social media accounts from scratch or scaling existing ones
- Experience using analytics and performance metrics to create strategy
- Demonstrated knowledge of video editing platforms (Canva, Vimeo, Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut)
- Demonstrated knowledge of social media platforms (TikTok, X, Bluesky, Facebook)
- Demonstrated knowledge of democracy issues
- Managed at least one staff member, intern, and/or fellow
- Willing to have a social media presence on behalf of Common Cause
- Not currently in elected office, running for office, or affiliated with political party leadership
- Lead strategic use of social media across the organization
- Build and execute comprehensive social media strategy
- Develop platform-specific strategies for major social channels
- Oversee creation, publishing, and optimization of daily content
- Maintain social media calendar tied to strategic campaigns and priorities
- Transform complex policy topics into compelling digital stories
- Proactively identify and adopt new social media trends and tools
- Use data and analytics to guide strategy and optimize performance
- Track, analyze, and report on social media performance
- Partner with digital, communications, and development colleagues
- Coordinate with state teams for cohesive national strategy
- Create paid digital advertising campaigns
- Supervise and develop Social Media Associates and Interns
- Set expectations for content quality, timeliness, and creativity
- Offer mentorship in strategy, storytelling, analytics, and collaboration
