Senior Database Administrator

5+ years operating MariaDB/MySQL in high-volume production environments Strong understanding of high-availability patterns, distributed database behavior, and failure scenarios Hands-on experience with database proxies/load-balancing layers (e.g., HAProxy, ProxySQL) Practical experience with CI/CD, GitOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code workflows Solid cloud, Linux, and networking fundamentals Experience with containers and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes) Strong security instincts around access control, upgrades, and workflows Observability expertise: monitoring, alerting, incident response readiness Strong communication and collaboration skills
