Mechanical Engineer

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience Mid-career experience level Strong foundation in mechanical systems design and integration Proficiency with latest CAD software and technical drawing generation Experience working independently and managing multiple design tasks Comfortable operating in a startup or fast-changing development environment Gensets and distributed power generation systems Enclosure and packaging design Integration of electrical and mechanical systems Battery systems and thermal management / cooling systems Exhaust systems Sheet metal fabrication techniques Experience with turbines and/or reciprocating engines Experience with liquid and gaseous fuel systems and associated components

Design and integrate mechanical subsystems for distributed power generation projects Support system-level integration of mechanical and potentially electrical components Collaborate with external partner companies, vendors, and suppliers Help to develop enclosure designs, layouts, and packaging concepts Generate detailed CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings Support integration of gensets, batteries, cooling systems, exhaust systems, and fuel systems Collaborate with electrical engineers to ensure mechanical-electrical compatibility Assist with prototype builds, testing, and iterative design improvements Produce and maintain clear engineering documentation Work effectively in a remote, startup-style environment with minimal supervision Travel within the United States 25-50% of the time
