Senior Mechanical Engineer

Design, develop, and review mechanical specifications for distribution transformers ensuring customer compliance.
Develop tank, core-coil frame assemblies, cooling systems, and lifting features for custom configurations.
Perform mechanical calculations for structural strength, short circuit forces, and thermal performance.
Utilize engineering software like AutoCAD or SolidEdge to prepare manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and 3D CAD models.
Interpret and apply industry standards such as IEEE, ASTM, and CSA to design and testing processes.
Collaborate with manufacturing and test teams to resolve non-conformances and implement engineering changes.
Provide technical support for weld specifications, component selection, and fit-up requirements.

You will contribute to product development, standardization, and the creation of design tools and templates, optimizing transformer performance, efficiency, and cost.
