🔍 Engineering and data centre design

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant electrical engineering experience, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Experience with data centre projects or large-scale industrial projects is a plus but not required.
  • Proficiency in BIM software (Autodesk Revit), CAD modeling tools, and other relevant engineering software (ETAB, SKM).
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems design, including power distribution, UPS systems, standby generators, and security systems.
  • Possession of a valid Professional Engineer (PEng) license will be a plus.
  • Familiarity with electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong project management abilities, including the coordination and supervision of on-site activities.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites in Canada and the USA.
  • Ability to work from home.
  • Authorization to work in Canada.
  • Lead electrical engineering design activities on major projects in Canada and the USA.
  • Design, model, and simulate electrical systems for hyperscale and AI data centres.
  • Develop electrical systems including power distribution, UPS, standby generators, and security systems.
  • Prepare engineering calculations, schematic designs, and detailed designs.
  • Create technical documentation for project execution including design criteria and specifications.
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to coordinate BIM models and resolve conflicts.
  • Review shop drawings and ensure compliance with engineering codes and safety standards.
  • Use BIM tools to virtually construct electrical systems and coordinate with other disciplines.
  • Manage and coordinate projects, including on-site supervision.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and utilize laser scanning technology.
