Senior Financial Crime Investigator, Anti Money Laundering (AML)

Experience conducting investigations in an operational setting with subject matter expertise preferably in AML Recent experience with emerging financial crime trends and typologies Hold, or happy to work towards, an ICA International Certificate in Anti Money Laundering, or similar industry qualification Excellent English written & verbal communication skills Confidence in investigating and problem solving with a clear and concise view to decision-making and can take a risk based approach Ability to work well independently & be collaborative with the wider team Ability to work to deadlines, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail Worked in a targeted environment Experience of coaching and training ability to support colleagues Values driven approach in line with Monzo’s core values

Analyze potentially unusual or suspicious behaviour on customer accounts Decide on appropriate action for Monzo Work complex Investigations and Customer Reviews Document suspicious activity and send to National Crime Agency Lock down money obtained through fraud Complete cheque Reviews Review SARs from other colleagues within AML Complete Reviews and Approvals Deal with Senior escalations from other departments Lead by example to achieve performance and Quality targets Work with Team Managers and Operations Analysts Share emerging risks and trends Coach and train colleagues Complete remediation tasks
