Requirements:
7+ years of experience in contract management, project management, legal operations, or a related discipline. Experience in SaaS, benefits administration, HR technology, or professional services preferred. Expertise in contract lifecycle management and legal terminology. Proven success managing complex, high-volume, or enterprise-level contracts. Strong project management skills to manage competing priorities and deadlines. Exceptional communication, documentation, and relationship-building abilities. Proven ability to influence stakeholders and navigate contract negotiations. Familiarity with contract tools, workflow automation, or CLM systems (preferred). PMP, PMI-ACP, or related certification (preferred). Experience developing process improvements or governance frameworks (preferred).
Responsibilities:
Serve as primary project lead for post-win contract activities, including complex deals. Own strategic oversight of contract workflows, ensuring deadlines and approvals. Act as escalation point for internal teams and provide guidance on prioritization and risk mitigation. Oversee creation, review, and revision of client agreements (ASAs, LOAs, MSAs, SOWs, etc.). Partner with Legal on negotiations for non-standard or complex clauses. Maintain accurate documentation of negotiation items and approvals. Coordinate with Legal, InfoSec, Pricing, Sales, and Finance for contract progression. Develop structured communication cadence for stakeholders and leadership. Facilitate discussions on risk tolerance, contract exceptions, and internal approvals. Build and refine standardized workflows, templates, and tools. Help define and maintain pre-approved negotiation parameters. Identify bottlenecks and drive process improvements for accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. Report on contract cycle-time metrics and areas for improvement.
