Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related business discipline. Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on accounting experience. Experience in invoicing, project accounting, reconciliations, and month-end tasks. Xero (mandatory). ERP system exposure (Fresh Projects training provided). Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIF/COUNTIF, formula nesting, data cleaning, basic modelling). SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite proficiency. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. High accuracy, strong attention to detail, and proactive follow-through. Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and managing end-to-end accounting tasks independently. Confident with Excel and adaptable to learning new systems quickly. High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work with minimal supervision. Strong understanding of Australian payroll practices and GST (preferred).
Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly progress invoices and manage the full invoicing cycle. Set up and maintain new projects in Fresh Projects ERP and ensure data accuracy. Prepare payroll for approximately 60 Australian employees and process leave entries. Process supplier invoices, manage payment enquiries, and perform bank reconciliations. Prepare monthly journals and adjustments, and maintain financial records. Support month-end reporting and ad hoc management requests.
