Senior Software Engineer (UX) (Remote from Texas)

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 12+ years of professional experience (or 10 years with a related Master’s degree). 5+ years of UX/UI architecture, design, and delivery experience. 3+ years designing and deploying dashboards using the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience with Jira, Confluence, and project management tools. DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain. Security+ certification or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT II certification. Hands-on experience with cloud environments (AWS preferred), DevOps/DevSecOps concepts, and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). Demonstrated ability to work with geographically dispersed teams and mentor others on UX concepts.

Lead research, design, and usability testing for UX decisions. Conduct UX interviews, surveys, and prototype reviews. Develop personas, user flows, scenarios, and user stories. Design wireframes, mockups, dashboards, and UI prototypes using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and React. Mentor teammates on UX principles and user-centered design practices. Support software development, testing, documentation, and deployment. Create Kibana visualizations and dashboards.
