- Build a deep understanding of Hatch’s organizational and technical ecosystem
- Form strong partnerships with leaders from within Engineering as well as Product, Design, Content and Marketing
- Create a consistent and transparent communication cadence for engineering's roadmap and impact
- Build a clear understanding of roles, ownership, and opportunities to improve alignment
- Lead or co-lead strategic initiatives within Engineering and cross-functionally
- Translate complex technical progress into crisp narratives for the exec team
- Own the roadmap for engineering-led initiatives
- Establish explicit ownership of improving operating systems (e.g., planning, dependency management, leadership forums)
- Represent the VP of Engineering in cross-functional forums
- Act as a strategic force multiplier, defining and executing engineering strategies and initiatives
- Establish scalable systems for visibility, coordination, and execution
- Drive alignment and execution on Hatch’s biggest strategic bets
