Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. CPA (or equivalent) preferred. 10+ years of experience in public company accounting functions within a global organization. Strong knowledge of SOX requirements. Proven experience in working cross-functionally. Deep knowledge of accounting policies and processes. Continuous improvement mindset. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and strategic thinking skills. Be a "hands on" individual contributor.
Responsibilities:
Inventory and own all Finance policy documents. Identify policy gaps and create a development roadmap. Ensure policies align with U.S. GAAP, legal, and regulatory requirements. Create a governance structure for policy review and updates. Communicate policy updates and create training materials. Assist in developing desktop procedures for accounting roles. Partner with departments to ensure effective and efficient accounting processes. Drive process improvement and automation in accounting. Support internal controls and compliance, including SOX. Propose recommendations for changes to accounting policies, procedures, and controls. Support Controllership on ad hoc projects.
