Requirements
- 6–10+ years of progressive experience in US corporate accounting
- Hands-on ownership of month-end close
- Strong working experience with NetSuite
- Solid understanding and application of US GAAP
- Experience booking and reviewing journal entries
- Strong balance sheet reconciliation and documentation skills
- Experience in or exposure to the HVAC or construction services industry
- Stable work history demonstrating long-term tenure
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- CPA (US or equivalent) or CPA-track (preferred)
- Prior Assistant Controller or Controller experience (preferred)
- Experience working remotely with US-based teams (preferred)
- Experience supporting audits for US entities (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Ensure accuracy of the general ledger in NetSuite
- Apply and maintain US GAAP-compliant accounting practices
- Prepare schedules for management and external financial reporting
- Assist in preparing financial statements and reporting packages
- Support audit and review processes
- Serve as the accounting subject-matter expert for NetSuite
- Maintain and improve close checklists, reconciliations, and documentation
- Strengthen internal controls over financial reporting
- Identify and implement accounting process improvements
- Apply accounting knowledge specific to the HVAC industry (job costing, revenue recognition, accruals)
- Ensure accurate period cutoffs aligned with operational activity
