Director, Engineering (Platform, SecEng, Data Science/AI)

10+ years of software engineering experience with a strong background in platform, infrastructure, security, or data. 5+ years of leadership experience managing multiple teams or engineering managers. Deep expertise in data systems, distributed architecture, and AI/ML infrastructure. Strong experience with cloud-native platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and modern frameworks (e.g., Python, React, TypeScript, or similar), distributed systems, and DevOps practices. Proven track record leading complex technical initiatives in a SaaS, cloud-native, or high-growth environment. Experience partnering with or leading SRE, Security and/or Data Science teams. Demonstrated ability to define strategy, build teams, and drive measurable outcomes. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Provide strategic direction and technical leadership for Platform Engineering, SecEng, and Data Science & AI. Partner with the CPTO to define and execute the long-term technical strategy. Develop a multi-year roadmap for platform modernization, reliability, performance, and security. Build, mentor, and scale high-performing engineering teams. Own the architecture and evolution of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD platforms, system reliability, and developer experience. Oversee the SecEng function to ensure safety, integrity, and compliance. Lead the evolution of data and AI capabilities. Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and GTM stakeholders. Drive clarity and communication around platform work, prioritization, and success metrics.
