Senior Accountant

BA/BS in Accounting required 4-5+ years of relevant work experience in Loan Accounting or similar industry accounting role Proficiency in Excel required Strong understanding of US GAAP Excellent time management, attention to detail, and ability to work independently Strong analytical skills Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to prioritize tasks and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment Proactive approach to process improvement for operational efficiency

Record journal entries related to loan activity and perform account reconciliations Assist with workpaper and journal entry reviews and postings Evaluate loan accounting workflows for automation and efficiency opportunities Own the monthly close process for the loan portfolio Prepare and review loan schedules and supporting reconciliations Ensure appropriate cut-off, accrual, and amortization entries in accordance with GAAP Assist with loan-level analytics Develop and update accounting policies and procedures Own areas of external audits Collaborate with cross-functional teams Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and control procedures Drive process improvement and design of automation solutions Assist with accounting assessment and implementation for new loan products
