Senior Staff Engineer - Platform

Significant professional experience in software engineering, writing, testing, and deploying robust backend services using strongly typed languages. Hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP and proficiency with Kubernetes. Deep experience designing and maintaining global, resilient systems in the cloud. Experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform). Deep curiosity about systems, understanding how distributed applications fail and scale. Excited to build a platform focusing on reliability, performance, and developer experience. Comfortable working in a fast-paced team with ambiguity and evolving requirements. Experience with Go, Cassandra, Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, GCP, React, and Feast. Track record of technical excellence, delivering resilient systems. Experience technically leading large teams to solve complex product challenges.

Improve platform resilience by enhancing abstractions and tooling. Partner with Engineering Director for technical leadership around resiliency. Build deep understanding of the platform to strengthen reliability. Promote and maintain a culture of reliable system design and operation. Provide technical advice and challenge to other engineers. Lead architectural discussions for complex systems. Champion high standards through feedback and celebrating success. Foster a culture of quality and proactive testing. Mentor, sponsor, and up-level engineers.
