Staff Platform Devops Engineer

12+ years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, or DevOps roles. Expertise in Kubernetes cluster management, scaling, and troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles. Deep understanding of AWS (EKS, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM) and GCP (GKE, BigQuery, IAM, networking) services. Experience with CI/CD systems (GitLab CI/CD or similar). Familiarity with Backstage or similar Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs). Proficiency with Airflow for orchestration and Istio or similar service mesh technologies. Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages. Experience with observability stacks like Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog. Strong understanding of CNCF ecosystem tools and modern DevOps practices. Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.

Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters. Architect and maintain Backstage Scaffolders. Develop, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines. Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform. Manage Airflow workflows. Configure and operate Istio or equivalent service mesh. Leverage CNCF tooling. Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging. Apply security best practices and compliance controls. Drive platform strategy and continuous improvement. Establish reusable templates, modules, and documentation. Lead technical design discussions and architectural reviews. Collaborate with development teams to optimize performance. Champion automation, observability, and security-by-design. Partner cross-functionally with engineering, data, and security teams. Mentor peers and contribute to a culture of learning. Communicate clearly across technical and non-technical stakeholders. Contribute to internal documentation and knowledge sharing.
