Requirements:
10–15+ years of success in healthcare business development, investment, or strategy, ideally within ambulatory surgery, physician partnerships, or healthcare services Proven track record of independently generating leads and closing complex joint ventures or partnerships Deep understanding of deal mechanics, equity and debt structuring, and partnership formation Strong financial acumen with expertise in building and analyzing pro formas Demonstrated ability to identify risks and craft creative, practical solutions Trusted networker skilled at cultivating high-value physician and hospital relationships Skilled at articulating value propositions, leading complex negotiations, and driving high conversion rates Able to identify, prioritize, and penetrate new markets using data and industry intelligence Aligns effectively with internal partners (Finance, Operations, Legal) Mentors others, models accountability, and embodies Compass’s STAR values
Responsibilities:
Independently generate a strong pipeline of qualified ASC opportunities Build trust-based relationships with physicians, hospital executives, and industry advisors Lead all phases of the transaction lifecycle—evaluation, due diligence, pro forma development, negotiation, and closing Build and interpret detailed financial models Negotiate LOIs and structure partnership agreements Identify and prioritize 3+ new markets annually Partner closely with Finance, Legal, and Operations Serve as a mentor and thought partner to the broader Business Development team Represent Compass externally with professionalism and credibility
