Master’s degree (MPH, MPA, MS, or related field) in public health, emergency preparedness, health systems, or a relevant discipline. 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in public health, consulting, or systems-building within government, nonprofit, or professional services settings. 5+ years of supervisory experience, including overseeing managers or senior consultants. Demonstrated success leading multiple public health programs, practice areas, or complex portfolios. Extensive experience managing client relationships and overseeing large-scale public health projects. Strong understanding of public health infrastructure, modernization, and specialty domains such as emergency preparedness or substance use. Exceptional communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills. Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution and detail orientation. Commitment to equity, cultural responsiveness, and strengthening local public health systems. Experience leading or supporting state/local health departments, preparedness coalitions, or public health program areas (preferred). Knowledge of national public health standards such as FPHS, PHAB, and related frameworks (preferred). Experience with proposal strategy, business development, and government contracting (preferred). Familiarity with data tools, performance measurement, and public health operational systems (preferred). Experience supporting organizational change, learning collaboratives, or complex systems improvement initiatives (preferred).
