Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. 10+ years of demonstrated experience driving and managing a business. Strong understanding of business operations and management principles. 3+ years managing a business specifically with P&L ownership. Experience working in a professional services organization, driving business growth. Demonstrated success in building and launching a new business or product offering from scratch. Experience at a technology or hyper-growth company strongly preferred. Management consulting experience at a top-tier firm or investment banking experience preferred but not required. Leadership experience, including responsibility for business results in a fast-paced, multi-function environment. Refined relationship development & leadership skills with a proven track record of success in building credibility across all levels of an organization. Experience with marketing technology and automation, including familiarity with marketing platforms, CRMs, and other technologies. Experience establishing high-impact, revenue-generating commercial relationships. Confidence in analysis abilities, with proven success in delivering results in ambiguous and sophisticated project efforts. Strong commercial acumen. Strong command over a P&L and financial metrics. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent organization skills and detail-oriented. Adaptable; comfortable managing changing priorities, learning new skills, and building consensus. Responsibilities:
Serve as end-to-end owner of a new, high-impact business line. Build the business from the ground up: market positioning, strategy, product-market fit, profitability, and operations. Ensure success measured by revenue growth, pipeline health, and gross margin. Optimize supply and demand for the business. Analyze market and industry opportunities. Build and test new offerings with clients. Lead the creation of an execution plan with Marketing and Talent Operations. Work on the front-lines with clients and cross-functionally with internal teams. Establish analytics and feedback loops for continuous iteration. Represent the Toptal brand in every aspect. Onboard and integrate into Toptal. Learn Toptal’s business model, value proposition, and story. Shadow critical teams to learn Toptal’s core operations. Understand go-to-market models and articulate Toptal’s capabilities. Conduct market and industry research. Partner with Marketing to research and validate market opportunities. Build initial GTM strategy and offerings. Partner with Marketing and Talent Operations to develop launch strategy. Execute GTM strategy leveraging internal cross-functional support. Work with Sales Leadership on client pursuits and delivery. Execute stages of GTM strategy and show growth in revenue and pipeline. Become embedded in the Integrated Customer Framework. Broaden Toptal’s reach into key industry and subsectors. Scale infrastructure for execution, optimizing people, processes, and systems. Achieve product-market fit and realize core business and sales KPIs.
