Senior Design Manager, Design Systems

10+ years in product design. At least 3 years leading design systems teams. Experience in a fast-growing B2B SaaS environment. Experience supporting enterprise-scale use cases. Ability to set and uphold healthy system rules and boundaries. Systems thinking and strong design taste. Experience leading or supporting large-scale visual refreshes or component library migrations. Technical fluency with design tokens, theming, and React component libraries. Strong grasp of accessibility and performance tradeoffs. Strong cross-functional partnership skills. Experience delivering versioned systems with governance, contribution models, deprecations, and company-wide migrations. Comfortable defining and using outcome-oriented metrics. Excellent communication skills.

Set design system strategy in partnership with engineering. Define and co-own the multi-quarter strategy and roadmap for the design system. Manage and mentor design systems designers. Evolve conventions, tooling, and guidance to ensure coherence and quality. Build a culture of design and frontend excellence. Raise accessibility and internationalization standards. Support a visual refresh of the design system and product experience. Communicate updates and tradeoffs clearly with leadership and stakeholders. Define and use system health metrics to prioritize and measure progress.
