Extensive hands-on experience with Azure networking services including VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute (with/without BGP), Azure Firewall, and third-party NVAs (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortigate). Deep understanding of network routing, segmentation, and route redistribution in hybrid environments. Proficiency with load balancing technologies (Azure Load Balancer, App Gateway, Traffic Manager, Front Door) and DNS services (Azure DNS, Infoblox, WinDNS, Private DNS zones, Private DNS Resolver) or familiarity with other load balancing solutions. Strong knowledge of Azure monitoring and management tools including Log Analytics (KQL), Application Insights, Azure Backup, and Azure Site Recovery. Familiarity with carrier circuits (MPLS, VPLS, point-to-point) and SD-WAN technologies (Cisco, Meraki, Viptela, VMware/Velocloud). Some proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Bicep or Terraform. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to guide teams and influence stakeholders. AZ-104: Azure Administrator Associate certification required. AZ-700: Azure Network Engineer Associate certification required.
