Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree At least 5 years of relevant experience in defense, aerospace or satellite communications business development. Proven success in developing business within U.S. Air Force, U.S. Space Force or related defense agencies. Deep understanding of SATCOM, multi-orbit communications and tactical networking technologies. Strong knowledge of DoD acquisition processes, funding cycles and contracting vehicles. Demonstrated success in strategic capture and partnership management within the defense market. Eligibility for U.S. Government Secret clearance (TS/SCI preferred). Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) (Preferred) Established relationships across USAF, USSF, AFRL, SSC and DISA communities (Preferred) Familiarity with JADC2, ABMS and space communications modernization initiatives (Preferred) Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills (Preferred) Experience in a high-growth, technology-driven company environment (Preferred)
Responsibilities:
Drive business growth and revenue by achieving sales and pipeline targets. Develop and execute comprehensive account strategies. Identify, qualify, and pursue opportunities through proactive engagement and relationship management. Lead end-to-end opportunity management from shaping to proposal and contract award. Build and manage strategic relationships with acquisition executives, program managers, and capability leads. Serve as the primary interface between the company and DoD stakeholders. Represent the company at key industry events, government forums, and defense innovation engagements. Build alliances with defense primes, system integrators, and technology partners. Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Product, and Marketing teams. Translate customer mission needs into actionable business and technical requirements. Navigate U.S. Government acquisition and proposal processes. Provide market intelligence and forecasting by tracking policy developments, funding priorities, and program budgets.
