VP, Product Management (Database Servers/OLTP)

Proven track record in product leadership and driving strategic growth for mission-critical database platforms (OLTP/Relational). Experience delivering products that scale to meet enterprise-level requirements (HA, security, performance). Deep understanding of PostgreSQL and the broader open-source database ecosystem. Fluency in technical concepts critical for modern database adoption, including Kubernetes, advanced replication, and hybrid cloud deployment models. Strong understanding of how AI/ML, vector indexing, and GenAI tooling are impacting the database layer. Established credibility and a strong network of industry leaders, key influencers, and researchers within the Database and Open Source Software (OSS) communities. Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Define and execute product strategy for core database services (OLTP) focusing on scale, performance, and operational excellence. Integrate AI and vector capabilities into the database experience. Define a profitable roadmap to expand offerings and drive adoption. Serve as an authoritative voice in database, OSS, and AI communities. Build and maintain relationships within the Postgres OSS Community and with technology partners. Mentor and grow a high-performing product management team.
