Guide API design and architecture for scalability, security, and maintainability. Establish coding standards, API design guidelines, and DevOps best practices. Make decisions on tools, frameworks, and technologies. Coach and mentor API developers and DevOps engineers. Assign tasks based on team strengths and project priorities. Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback. Liaise between API/DevOps team and other stakeholders. Ensure proper documentation of APIs, deployment processes, and runbooks. Communicate progress, risks, and issues to leadership. Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives. Oversee code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines. Guide troubleshooting and resolution of production issues. Oversee CI/CD pipeline implementation and maintenance. Ensure infrastructure is managed using code. Champion monitoring, alerting, and reliability engineering practices. Ensure API security (authentication, authorization, data validation). Promote secure DevOps practices (secrets management, vulnerability scanning). Ensure processes adhere to relevant regulatory and organizational standards. Identify bottlenecks and drive process improvements. Continuously assess and adopt new tools and technologies.
