Requirements:
10-15 years experience in user experience and design with expert knowledge of marketplace design principles, information architecture, platform patterns and customer-centered design. 7+ years management experience with a track record of hiring and developing high-performing, multi-disciplinary design teams. Proven experience leading a design organization through major transformation. Successfully implemented a design system in tight partnership with engineering. Strong problem solving skills that result in executing and deploying practical solutions. Appreciation of standards; proven methods and tools to enforce brand identity, accessibility and consistency. Deep experience working collaboratively with and influencing product, engineering, and marketing. A portfolio showcasing a proven track record in creating consumer-focused UX that solves complex design problems. An ability to lead a team to prioritize in a fast-paced environment. A strong and effective creative point of view inside the organization. A Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in user experience, design, or other related field. A personal passion for live events (preferred).
Responsibilities:
Establish and drive a user experience vision for the live events marketplace. Modernize and define Eventbrite's overall design vision for a world-class experience. Articulate and evangelize the design vision and translate it into an actionable roadmap. Design, document, and evangelize a cohesive set of design principles, patterns, and guidelines. Define, select, implement, and utilize a design system and set of tools. Influence and mentor a global team, while building integration with engineering, PM, and brand teams. Build an energized and positive design culture. Know the customer and represent their needs and voice. Raise the user experience bar for all of product. Partner with peer functions during design and development. Develop an effective organizational structure for the design team. Recruit, hire, manage, and mentor top designers, researchers, and content designers. Define processes with measurable outcomes for quality and rapid time to market.
