Requirements
- Experience excelling in a School Finance Management role.
- Experience as part of a School Leadership Team or working closely with one.
- Comfort with accounting, including navigating accounting software and analyzing financial reports.
- Intermediate Excel knowledge (e.g., vlookups, sumifs).
- Strong quantitative analysis, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills, with comfort presenting to C-Level leaders.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- General comfort with technology systems (e.g., Google suite).
- Typically, 10-15 years of work or post-secondary educational experience.
Responsibilities
- Act as an outsourced CFO for 5-8 schools, advising on financial and operational policies, strategic decisions, and long-term planning.
- Produce financial forecasts, set budgets, and lead finance strategy development.
- Attend finance committee or board meetings to present finance strategy.
- Analyze, model, and solve business problems.
- Proactively identify and solve clients' financial challenges.
- Provide development and informal oversight to School Finance Specialists and Analysts.
- Contribute to EdOps's internal research, development, and innovation of its finance product.
