Senior Architect - Data Architecture & Engineering

8+ years of experience in data engineering, including 4+ years of experience architecting data solutions on Azure. Ability to create a data modernization roadmap and architect solutions to meet business and IT needs. Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure with experience in services such as Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, Fabric, Azure Synapse, and Azure OpenAI. Proven ability to design and implement modern data architectures (data lakes, data warehouses, lake houses, data mesh, streaming pipelines). Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL, and data engineering frameworks. Knowledge of APIs, data integration patterns, security, compliance, and data governance frameworks. Experience optimizing data pipelines, queries, and architectures for performance and cost. Results oriented and a reputation for getting things done. Design Azure based technical solutions leveraging available toolsets considering functionality and performance. Act as team lead on projects, direct technology process, and manage client relationships. Implement end-to-end data platform solutions. Manage client expectations regarding scope, cost, and timeline. Author high quality project documentation and artifacts. Be an effective technical mentor to junior teammates. Deliver complex projects on-time and within budget, mitigating gaps and risks.
