Senior Financial Accountant

5 plus years of experience in financial accounting, ideally in a digital or high growth environment Strong technical knowledge of German GAAP and tax law, with additional experience in IFRS or US GAAP seen as a plus Confident working with DATEV and modern AP and AR tools such as Spendesk, plus experience with ERP systems like NetSuite Advanced Excel user with the ability to analyze, interpret, and communicate financial data clearly Hands-on experience leveraging AI and automation tools to streamline accounting workflows A solid understanding of compliance, internal control frameworks, and structured accounting processes Proactive mindset with a passion for optimizing workflows and improving operational efficiency Analytical thinker with excellent problem solving skills, precision, and attention to detail Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field or equivalent certified training, with experience in accounting or audit firms as a strong advantage Fluent in English and German

Own the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with German GAAP and other applicable standards Ensure accurate and timely financial records across all markets, including invoice processing and account reconciliation Prepare and coordinate tax filings while working closely with external tax advisors and auditors Strengthen and refine internal controls to ensure compliance, scalability, and operational stability Identify process gaps and collaborate with cross functional teams to solve issues and improve workflows Optimize and leverage accounting tools such as DATEV and Spendesk to increase efficiency and accuracy Manage relationships with banks and financial partners to ensure smooth daily operations Actively shape and steer a robust financial infrastructure that enables Yazio's growth as a digital first, international company
