Installation Engineer (Security Technician)

3+ years of experience in security systems, LPR, CCTV, or low-voltage hardware installation. Proficiency with power tools and mounting techniques (impact driver, hammer drill, conduit benders). Experience installing hardware in outdoor and rugged environments. Ability to work independently and maintain professionalism on-site. Strong communication skills (verbal and written). Attention to detail and ability to uphold high quality standards. Critical thinking and advanced troubleshooting skills. Desire to learn and build expertise in new technical domains. Ability to use a cell phone and laptop for documentation and testing. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to lift 70 lbs, bend down, climb a ladder, and reach overhead.

Travel independently across the U.S. to installation sites. Install and configure license plate recognition systems, occupancy cameras, and related hardware. Conduct site surveys for optimal device placement and wiring. Pull and terminate low-voltage wiring (Ethernet, coax, power). Mount devices on various surfaces. Troubleshoot and resolve field issues (hardware, signal, power, alignment). Collaborate with engineering to suggest product improvements and document feedback. Maintain accurate job documentation and update installation records digitally.
