Senior Performance Test Engineer (LoadRunner) - Permanent/Remote

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience. Minimum of 5 years of performance engineering experience. At least 3 years specializing in performance testing and system optimization. Mastery of performance testing tools, including Microfocus LoadRunner (required), JMeter, Gatling, and k6 (highly desirable). Deep understanding of system architecture and networking, including caching, distributed systems, Kubernetes (k8s) architecture, and networking protocols. Advanced monitoring and observability skills, with proficiency in tools like Dynatrace. Expertise in code profiling and optimization, including algorithm selection, data structure efficiency, memory management, and concurrency patterns. Deep knowledge of database performance optimization, including query optimization, indexing strategies, and caching mechanisms. Strong problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills.

Lead performance testing, including requirements gathering, planning, script development, execution, and reporting. Design, execute, and analyze performance tests using Microfocus LoadRunner, JMeter, Gatling, and k6. Conduct bottleneck analysis using monitoring tools and APM platforms like Dynatrace. Develop workload models based on production statistics. Leverage understanding of system architecture (caching, distributed systems, Kubernetes) to resolve bottlenecks. Perform code profiling and optimization focusing on algorithms, data structures, memory, and concurrency. Optimize system configurations and infrastructure for scalability and low-latency performance. Conduct SQL database performance testing, profiling, and tuning. Implement advanced monitoring and observability practices using tools like Dynatrace. Develop and maintain dashboards for key performance indicators (KPIs). Engage in sprint planning, performance reviews, and cross-functional meetings. Articulate performance bottlenecks, trade-offs, and optimization rationales to teams and stakeholders. Mentor junior engineers on performance testing, profiling, and optimization techniques. Propose tools or processes to enhance performance engineering efficiency.
