12+ years of experience in payroll, benefits, or total rewards. 5+ years in a senior leadership role at a US public company. Experience with diverse and multicultural teams. Deep expertise in US payroll, multi-state operations, and statutory benefits. Understanding of India payroll and benefits programs. Experience working with international EoR vendors and distributed teams. Experience with migrating US payroll to ADP. Owned or partnered on SOX and audit prep for payroll/benefits functions. Comfortable overseeing EoR vendors without managing day-to-day operations. Experience using AI to streamline workflows. Detail-oriented, calm under pressure. Fluent in operational execution and executive reporting. Ability to turn complexity into clarity through processes and systems.
Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end payroll processing and benefits strategy for US and India. Ensure accurate payroll execution, benefits enrollment, tax filings, and time tracking. Drive service delivery through automation, documentation, and process improvement. Oversee Employee of Record (EoR) vendors in 8+ countries. Ensure accurate global payroll delivery, consistent benefits experience, and compliance alignment. Own all compliance, controls, and reporting for payroll and benefits. Build SOX-ready processes, documentation, and audit trails. Partner with Legal and Finance to mitigate risk and ensure compliance. Lead and grow a distributed team. Set a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and operational excellence. Optimize and manage payroll and benefits platforms (e.g., ADP, Darwinbox). Establish regular reporting cadences. Leverage systems for visibility, automation, and scale.
