Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. 2–5 years of experience working with retirement plans, particularly 401(k) plans, in a client-facing, compliance or administrative capacity. Experience supporting advisors and/or clients in a retirement plan or financial services environment. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite. ASPPA, CEBS, QKA, or other designations related to 401(k) plan administration or ERISA compliance are a plus.
Responsibilities:
Serve as internal ERISA and 401(k) expert, guiding advisors on regulations. Research and analyze complex ERISA issues. Assist in preparing and reviewing plan documents and regulatory filings. Support advisors in understanding fiduciary responsibilities. Stay updated on ERISA legislation and communicate relevant updates. Act as a point of contact for retirement plan clients regarding inquiries. Assist advisors in preparing for client meetings. Collaborate with advisors to identify client needs and develop solutions. Support advisors in explaining complex retirement plan concepts to clients. Facilitate communication between advisors and internal departments. Support onboarding of new retirement plan clients. Respond to client inquiries regarding plan administration and participant questions. Maintain accurate client and plan records in Salesforce CRM. Assist in preparing client-facing materials and presentations. Diagnose issues and provide client-driven solutions meeting IRS requirements.
