Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field with 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in data governance or data management. Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects from initiation to completion. Strong understanding of data governance principles, frameworks, and best practices. Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello). Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Experience in change management and stakeholder engagement practices to drive the adoption of data governance initiatives. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards related to data management and governance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). Certification in Project Management (PMP, CAPM) is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Developing and maintaining detailed project plans, including timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure successful execution of data governance initiatives. Facilitating cross-functional team collaboration, ensuring effective communication among stakeholders, and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle. Leading project meetings, capturing action items, and driving follow-up to ensure project milestones are met. Identifying project risks, issues, and dependencies, and proactively developing mitigation strategies to ensure project success. Monitoring project progress and performance metrics, providing regular updates to stakeholders, and adjusting project plans as necessary to address changes in scope or direction. Documenting project processes, lessons learned, and best practices to support ongoing learning and improvement within the data governance framework. Acting as a liaison between business units and technical teams to ensure the effective implementation of data governance policies and practices.
