Good academic credentials and post-qualification experience (2-8PQE preferred).
In-house legal experience (directly, or as a secondee) or strong law firm experience supporting large corporations
Strong commercial understanding, and excellent interpersonal skills.
Right to work in the UK and eligible to practice as a lawyer in the UK.
Responsibilities:
Provide in-house legal advice on privacy, data-sharing, and EU AI Act compliance, assessing implications for new product offerings.
Draft, negotiate, and review commercial agreements with a focus on information law clauses, ensuring alignment with EU DSA regulations.
Draft and advise on data protection-related documentation, including data processing agreements, data transfer agreements, data subject access requests, and data privacy impact assessments.
Provide guidance on new compliance reporting and data tracking requirements, aligning with the EU AI Act and EU DSA.
Oversee revisions to internal codes of conduct, ensuring adherence to the latest UK and EU privacy laws, including Data Protection Directive, GDPR, and relevant regulations.
